The Archives and Records Association Section for New Professionals (SfNP) will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 2.00pm onWednesday 20th November 2013 in the meeting rooms at the recently refurbished Liverpool Central Library (http://liverpool.gov.uk/libraries/find-a-library/central-library/LibraryMap.aspx). The event is free and open to both members and non-members of the Archives and Records Association. If you would like to attend, please email an RSVP to email@example.com
This year has been an extremely productive one for the Section for New Professionals. As well as connecting with fellow professionals, the Annual General Meeting is a chance to meet the committee, find out how SfNP represents its members, and have a say in the section’s future direction. It is also a good opportunity to network with others starting out in the information management profession.
Following the AGM, there will be a brief update on Archive and Records Association activities, given by a member of the SfNP committee. There will then be a discussion on the opportunities and challenges of working with non-recordkeeping professionals, with a case study provided by David Jenkins, Corporate Records Manager at Derbyshire County Council, and his colleague, Lee Henstock, a Departmental Liaison Officer (EDRM Project Technician) in the IT department, who have been working together on setting up an EDRMS.
We hope to see you there.
